Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony & Parade - Chicago, IL

Each year, the City of Chicago marks Memorial Day with a ceremonial wreath laying and parade, honoring fallen service members while celebrating the strength and diversity of the Chicago community. Residents and visitors alike are invited to take part in the events, which will take place on Saturday, May 23, in the heart of Downtown Chicago.
- The Wreath Laying Ceremony is slated for 11 a.m. at Richard J. Daley Center Plaza, and will also be live-streamed for public viewing at the City of Chicago website.
- The Memorial Day Parade begins at noon, a few blocks from Daley Center Plaza at the intersection of State and Lake streets. It will proceed south along State Street toward Van Buren Street.
Sueños Music Festival - Chicago, IL

Returning for the fifth straight year, the Sueños Music Festival will once again be held at Chicago's Grant Park this Memorial Day weekend. With its main entrance in the northeast section of the park, this two-day event on May 23 and 24 features top reggaeton, Latin trap, and regional Mexican artists, celebrating Chicago's rich Latin talent and culture.

Summer Fireworks at Navy Pier are a fixture of the skies above Chicago, echoing across Lake Michigan most Wednesday and Saturday nights all summer long. The fireworks season begins on Memorial Day weekend, with the first fireworks show of the year scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at 10 p.m. Ample viewing is available at the pier itself and all along the parks that line the lakeshore. Fireworks nights are also popular nights to make reservations at outdoor and rooftop dining spots in the nearby Streeterville neighborhood.
Mayfestiversary 2026 - Chicago, IL

Jointly hosted by Begyle Brewing and Dovetail Brewery in the lively Ravenswood neighborhood, the two-day Mayfestiversary festival returns on May 23 and 24 this year, bringing a wide range of family-friendly fun and entertainment to the Ravenswood Malt Row district near Begyle Brewing and Dovetail Brewery. Here's what you can expect:
- More than 25 live bands on two stages.
- Food trucks offering some of Chicagoland's best eats.

Randolph Street Market Festival - Chicago, IL

Chicago's largest vintage market returns May 23 and 24 with the Randolph Street Market Festival. The festival takes place in the historic Fulton Market District in the West Loop. It's the market's biggest show of the year, featuring over 200 indoor and outdoor dealers offering antiques, collectibles, and vintage goods of all kinds.
